Battlefield 2042 definitely wasn’t one of the best starts of the year and gamers don’t necessarily want to play it. As you can see, this situation is worsening for Electronic Arts, which is why Publishers decided to make the game available for free for a few days.
As a player noticed on Reddit, Battlefield 2042‘S Tab on Steam displays a banner informing about a free weekend that will last from December 16-20. If you don’t see anything strange in this, remember that this year BF came out only a month ago.
As you’d expect, the comments below the Reddit post quickly hit the boiling point. The players unanimously stated that this is a desperate attempt to attract players to a mostly negatively rated game.
You wanted to get to that Fourteen days Audience because they saw how much money Epic was making. Which in turn produced an inferior product that neither the Battlefield Player still the Fourteen days Players want because it doesn’t do a great job to be one of the games, “wrote OSRS_Satriani under the post
“The free weekend will drive out new players as soon as they try it out. The game is just another piece of junk built out of battle. So AAA games work more like a beta now, “wrote Syringes_Nachos under the post
In the end, however, it’s important to note that it’s not exactly like EA thought the underdeveloped and buggy game was dead. Battlefield 2042 has already received several important updates – the last one was released on December 9th.
