Ubisoft returns to Steam. In early December, sales of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will begin on Valve’s platform. In time, the same awaits Anno 1800 and other games from the French developer.

Ubisoft’s partnership with Epic Games Store has apparently come to an end – the card for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has appeared on Steam. At the moment, however, the game is not available for purchase; the release on Valve’s platform will take place on December 6simultaneously with the debut of The Last Chapter.

The French company is thus returning to Steam after an absence of more than three and a half years. Currently only with its flagship title, which is Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, however, we are also expected to see other games in the future. According to Eurogamer, which received a statement on the subject from Ubisoft, Valve’s platform will also see the city builder Anno 1800 and Roller Champions. However, it is not known when exactly this will happen.

The latest rumors about the release of AC Valhalla on Steam emerged earlier this month, when it was noted that the source code for the game’s card on Ubisoft Connect had been updated. As it turns out, they were true.

Recall that at the beginning of 2019, Epic Games used aggressive and controversial tactics to promote its newly opened store, which was based on buying exclusivity for selected titles. It was under this policy that it entered a partnership with Ubisoft. As part of it all of the French developer’s games, starting angry Division 2were released only on Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
