Battlegrounds Mobile India and its ban saga is a trending topic in India right now as everybody is expecting the game to return very soon. While the game is still in the process of getting unblocked, here are five things that you need to know before BGMI unban.
1. KRAFTON HAS NOT DECLARED THE UNBAN DATE
The first point is probably the most crucial one in current time where every player in the community is looking for an unban date. Krafton has not declared any sort of unban date or timeline yet and hence, we advise our readers to refrain from referring to any other third-party sources claiming to provide an unban date for BGMI.
2. BGMI WAS BANNED DUE TO PRIVACY CONCERNS
The main reason behind Indian government taking such a stringent action to cease the distribution of BGMI was its user privacy concerns. This idea stems from the PUBG Mobile ban era where the game was banned for having Chinese connections and server sharing.
A similar thing is apparently observed in BGMI, which is why the game was officially blocked in the entire nation.
3. PLAYERS CANNOT DO INGAME PURCHASE IN BGMI
This point applies to the players that are still playing the game despite the ban. Ever since the ban order was instigated in the country, players have observed that any kind of in-game payment results into failure.
A main reason behind this is the fact that all in-game purchases are fulfilled by the official marketplaces like Apple App or Google Play store. The game is currently not available on both the platforms and hence, players cannot buy items.
4. BGMI SERVERS ARE STILL ACTIVE
An interesting point to note here is that BGMI ban has only affected its distribution while the game servers are still up and running. This was not seen in PUBG Mobile ban where the servers were taken down within days of the game being banned.
5. KRAFTON IS STILL IN TOUCH WITH INDIAN GOVT. OVER THE BAN
This is a point of reassurance for the entire BGMI community as Krafton has recently revealed in their PR that they are still in touch with the Indian government and trying to bring back the BGMI services in the country.
